The Kickstarter campaign was a bust. The general public obviously likes beer coolers a bit more than exercise.  I guess I should have known that…lolI am selling the DD bikes on my website now at http://www.dualdrivebike.com

The new sized gears came in September 15, 2014. They were manufactured in China and were machined perfectly to my specifications.  I installed them on a 3 speed beach cruiser and the Dual Drive Bike is working perfectly.  What a relief! The front drive uses a 5.5 to one gear ratio for a a steady and controlled hand pedal.  The front drive adds about 30% more power to the bike.

I postponed the launch of my Kickstarter campaign for tax reasons. Waiting one month to launch puts the raised funds into the 2015 tax year.

Working on the Kickstarter video and the incentive rewards. Got some new beach cruisers in to try out with my front wheel drive. I think my DD bikes will have aluminum frames with 3 speed Shimano internal hubs/ coaster brakes as a standard feature. They will also include our Shaft driven front wheel drive of course. I hope to be  able to order a full container of bikes to be price competitive.

My graphics art team  “Maverick Visuals” (Mike Haan) designed my logo for Business cards, stickers and other promotions.  The video for our Kickstarter program is being tweaked but near completion.

August 13, 2014… My dual drive bike project is still moving forward. As of today, I have sample gears for the shaft drive being made in China as we speak. The sample gears should arrive by the end of August. I also have parts for 50 chain drives being
manufactured locally. I hope to start selling dual drive beach bikes soon!

I have completed my “Crowd Funding Video”..although I continue to tweak it. I have to set up an Amazon acct. and find some cool lower cost incentives for the crowd funding. I like the Valve stem lights for bikes as one lower cost safety item. I will of course be pre-selling the total bikes and both the chain version and the shaft drive version of the dual drive bike. “Kickstarter” is my first choice. Some guys just raised 12 million selling the “coolest” beer cooler. (I wish to be that lucky) Up date..Nobody rec’d their coolers, what a rip-off!
