We are postponing the production of the sleek shaft drive version while we search for venture capital partners. Mass production in China awaits a cash infusion. The shaft drive requires some tooling for the top case as well as large production numbers to bring down the cost per bike.
We started online sales of the chain driven Dual Drive Bike in January 2015. We are still working out of our garage at this moment in time. We hand build the bikes one at a time as orders come in. With new venture capital we will be able to target market (television) popular biking beach areas that have safe biking areas such as Hollywood Beach, Florida. They have a beautiful 2 1/2 mile “strand” right on the sand that has safe biking paths.
Out 5 year plan is to take the company public in 2020. We intend to market the Dual Drive Bikes in popular beach areas around the country. Sales will be online only, for now. Right before we go public we will increase sales exponentially by allowing distribution via select bike stores around the country. This sales/revenue boost will ensure a successful IPO.
The “Bojon Beach Cruise” the only one in the world! This beach cruiser has a shaft drive up front for the hands and a regular chain drive for the feet! It works like a champ for a total aerobic workout! We use simple coaster brakes and single speed up front and back! Coming soon to a neighborhood near you! I would guess Fort Lauderdale beach will be the first to see this dual drive bike cruising the beach! Sample gears are on order from China and should arrive by the end of August!
While waiting for parts we further developed the “chain version” of the dual drive bike. I think it looks pretty cool with the new black chain cover and smaller multiple sprockets! Adding dual crown front forks to any bike amps up the “sweet” factor! Just ordered parts for 50 cruisers….so hopefully by this Christmas we will get Fort Lauderdale Beach cruising in style!
